What is ITH for?

Though certain functions could be accomplished using traditional methodologies, the modern hotel industry, more prone to act by quality and competitive criteria, than guided by price policies, can not afford to be precarious. Sooner or later, certain innovations must be introduced to match the image that we want to offer about our own products.

To say that ITH will cope with the problems that affect the hotel sector from an innovative point of view could astonish some. Nevertheless, if we take the definition of the word technology, we find that it is “the knowledge, tools and technical means used in a certain professional sector. Therefore, the ITH is:

The channel to apply all the existing knowledge in order to modernize the Spanish hotel infrastructures and processes, having an active role in the development of the technological hotel legislation.

The innovation tool able to add value to our hotel market

The agent responsible for impelling and motivating any research related to the hotel areas and the adaptation to the European Union requirements through the right technical means that will allow the sector to become increasingly professionalized.

In short, we aspire to reduce costs and expenses and at the same time keeping the quality standards. This is necessary to keep leading this industry.

In order to help and support the hotel sector in our country, the ITH is born…. with one single thing in mind: to be very effective and practical.

¿And…how can we lower costs and keep quality and profitability at the same time?

It is in this point where we have to follow the next steps:

To promote the business cooperation; it is easier and cheaper to solve the problems which affect the hotel sector from a shared and common perspective. Joining forces make us a stronger negotiator before the central and local Administrations.
To activate the financial aids; to introduce the hotel sector as a legitimate candidate to get any kind of tax deductions and compensations belonging to the R&D programmes, which allow us to reduce our operational expenses.
To make our members aware of the need of counselling and training; promoting the idea that quality and added value are the most important elements in order to ensure the customer’s loyalty, it is important to understand that adopting a technological culture integrated in the quality processes is a must to be profitable.
To anticipate changes. In order to be faster than our competitors; being flexible to the preferences and habitudes of our public.
